Black Friday Ads 2010 Are Here And Walmart Is On Board! [bestcomputersprices.blogspot.com]

Question by : How is my BRAND NEW laptop slower (dowloading) than my old one!? I just bought a brand new laptop on Black Friday. It was thee best one at BestBuy as in the best one overral for the cheapest price. Before I did serioud research on what to look for in a computer/laptop I always thought the RAM was the thing that speeds up computers. But then I knew it was more like the processor. My old computer is like the OLD ones they got AT SCHOOL!!! Even my school just bought new ones. And guess what... THEY SUCK! The new1s are worse than the old ones. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! [My old laptop only took about 20 mins to download iTunes and my new one took a lil bit than an hour!] @eric OH yeah you could be right. I need to check that @sosguy No : I have all the "crapware." I bought the Product Key Card for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. I'm so glad I did. PowerPoint is amazing, it has new features and is easier to work with. Best answer for How is my BRAND NEW laptop slower (dowloading) than my old one!?:

Answer by Eric
It seems more like your internet connection is the problem not your new laptop. Do you have multiple people in your house using WiFi downloading etc. Sometimes it can also be the server that your connecting to ( as in what your downloading ), multiple people may have been downloading cause you to have a slower download speed,

Answer by sosguy
More than likely it is the presence of all the "crap ware" bundled with new computers these days. All that trial ware wants to go out to the Internet thereby slowing your download speeds. Also, Windows Updates will run immediately and depending on how long the last update was done from the factory, could take a long time. Any new computers my customers get and I set up for them, I automatically run a free program called PC Decrapifier. It finds and removes all the junk preinstalled on new computers. http://pcdecrapifier.com/download
