to be honest your laptop and his computer are pretty much evenly matched. @ evenly matched laptops will always be slower then desktops. although, his CPU may be higher, its not really that great... The FX series cpu is horrible, tell him if he wants to make his computer better, tell him to get the amd black edition 3.4 ghz cpu same socket. the fx series have lag spikes.
