7.1 Surround Sound Speakers - A Brief Overview [bestcomputersprices.blogspot.com]

7.1 Surround Sound Speakers - A Brief Overview [bestcomputersprices.blogspot.com]

The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7b, from audio-technica.com , are active/passive noise canceling headphones that fit comfortably and provide great audio fidelity. While active noise cancellation is on, and music is playing at a reasonable volume, the outside world is absolutely mute. The construction of the headphones seems sturdy and Audica Technica provides all the accessories you need. Two audio cables, two adapters, two batteries (only one is needed), and a quality hard case to protect and transport the headphones. The price is 0 making these headphones a pretty good bargain as well. For exclusive content follow me on twitter at twitter.com and check out my blog at michaelsherlock.com

7.1 surround sound speakers are the big-daddies of home entertainment: expensive, powerful, and exceptionally clear. You will be hard pressed to find a set of 7.1 surround sound speakers that don't cost a small fortune. But if you want the best performance, then there is nothing better to invest in.

A 7.1 surround sound speaker system typically includes one woofer, one central speaker, two side speakers, and four satellite speakers. Most models also include an amplifier. This setup creates an entire 'wall of sound', pulling you completely into the TV/movie watching experience. Combine a 7.1 surround sound speaker system with a large screen plasma/LCD/LED TV, and you will never want to spend money in a movie theater again!

Be careful though: to take full advantage of 7.1 surround sound speakers, you need to have the right hardware. Most typical DVD players do not support 8 channels of audio, so you won't make the most out of your speakers. The Blu-Ray format , however, delivers 8 channels of high quality, lossless DTH-Master Audio/Dolby TrueHD audio. The 8 channels can thus be separated and distributed among the 7.1 setup. Consequently, you get the true HD experience: a wall of sound where each sound seems to come from a different direction.

Among 7.1 speaker manufacturers, Harman-Kardon, and Onkyo come highly recommended. Sony, Infinity and Samsung are other brands to consider if your budget is slightly lower. For cheaper alternatives, you can try Logitech. Bose's speaker systems are typically of a very high quality. Unfortunately, the company doesn't make any 7.1 systems (though you can definitely consider its 5.1 setups).

The Onkyo HT-S6300 7.1-Channel Home Theater System comes highly recommended. It is a slightly more expensive 7.1 system at $ 999, but delivers a great performance in a good looking package. It is designed to work with Blu-Ray players and has four of the latest 1.4a HDMI inputs. Delivering 1200W of total power - 7 speakers each delivering 130W and one subwoofer with 290W - the Onkyo HT-S6300 is more than adequate to handle the highs and the lows with aplomb. I especially like the bass on this system, made possible by the 290W subwoofer.

The best feature of the Onkyo HT-S6300 is its ability to automatically up-convert all video inputs to 1080P and output through HDMI. The best feature, though, has to be the Audyssey Audio Correction Technology, which automatically tailors the system for your home theater, correcting frequency response, volume, etc. for a smoother, clearer performance. The included setup mic makes setting up the speakers a breeze, and the compact design ensures that the system will blend in, not stand out in your home theater.

Among 7.1 surround sound speakers, the Onkyo HT-S6300 comes highly recommended. If you are on a budget, then you can discard the idea of a 7.1 system and opt for a 5.1 instead (which are typically priced much lower b ut do not differ much in performance).

If you want to use the speakers primarily with your computer, you should consider opting for 7.1 surround speakers for PC, which are specifically designed for use with computers. Logitech is the pioneer in this field and makes affordable, quality 7.1 speakers for PCs.

Another option to consider if you dislike wires (who doesn't?) is to opt for wireless 7.1 surround sound speakers. These eliminate the clutter partially by getting rid of several wires, though you will never find a system that is completely wireless. Nevertheless, for a clutter-free experience, these wireless 7.1 speakers come highly recommended.

Question by : Which Mac should I get? ! am buying a new Mac this summer so I have a question. I already have a 13" Mac book Pro (low end default) late 2011 and Ipad 2. (Don't mention rumors to me) If some of the items are renewed, the price probably would not wander do different from now. Can someone tell me what to you think is the best choice and why. I have a $ 8000 budget so money is not a problem. 1. Macbook Pro 15" i7 quad core 2.5 GHZ AMD 1 GB Graphic Processer 8 GB of Ram 128 GB SSD Hi Res Glossy Screen (I like Glossy) with a Thunderport Display (I would like to know the max. numbers of TB displays the MBP 15" can handle.) 2. Mac Mini i5 duo core 2.7 GHZ 8 GB of Ram 256 GB SSD AMD 6630m Hook it up to my 42" HDTV and Macbook Air 11" i5 duo core 1.6 GHZ (Saves battery power) 4 GB of Ram 64 GB 3. Imac 27" i7 quad core 3.4 GHZ 16 GB of Ram AMD 2 GB Graphic Processor 750 HDD 7200 RPM ( I am considering ssd) 4. Imac 21" i7 quad core 2.8 GHZ 16 GB of Ram AMD 1 GB Graphic Processor 750 HDD 7200 RPM and 13" Macbook Pro (I will be a 2012 model) (Ha Ha) Or 13" (Prehaps 11") Macbook Air Both at low end default setting 5. Tell me what you would buy! Of course I will tell you what I do with my computers. I work heavy on RAM. I had 12 MB of Ram left this morning. (My MBP 13" has 4GB of ram) My MBP uses around 30% of my CPU in my normal day. ( iMovie pushs it to 60%) My normal gaming is Lego Star Wars 3 (Yes, I am a star wars fan). This makes my MBP very loud (Fan noise). The CPU is probaly not 100% (It is full screen so there is no way in monitoring the CPU) but the GPU works very hard to keep the game going (The games is I rated 85-90%) Frames are pretty fast and It has never dragged. Storage is not a problem because I am a huge fan of External storage. (I also planning on investing in a thunderbort storage system) As far as speakers, I have a Bose Companion 20 so that is not a big problem either. I would also love for you to give me some advice on choice between SSD and HDD. I am sort of lost in the SSD vs HDD. As Battery is a concern for many, I really do not travel a lot but I do move homes a lot! I really need some detailed advice!! Best answer for Which Mac should I get?:

Answer by AUDI RS4 RULES!!!
Option 3 is good choice if money isn't much of an issue. You don't need another laptop because you said you have a 13" macbook pro (low end) and an ipad 2.

So you're looking for bling, not function? You've chosen the 2 most over rated and over priced products on the market! Apple MAC and BOSE. Why not just get some diamonds?
