Question by : Is this computer repair service worth paying for? Here is the info. They want to charge $ 169.99 for 1 year of service that will basically fix all the problems my computer is having. My computer has tons and tons or errors from many different areas, and will not open in normal mode. Something is messed up in the boot files from what I have researched and have been told. Along with that the representive from the company went over with me all the different areas my computer was messing up at, and that the virus protection that I had on the computer before did uninstall but not all the way as far as the registry goes (or something along those lines) My registry is filled with errors. My computer has many problems in many areas and is working quite slow. The representive claims that their product (which is a service where they access your computer in front of you on your own screen and go step by step asking for permission into certian areas of your computer) will solve all the problems im experiancing. He went over many different options and went to sites like best buy and showed me their prices on their services infront of my own eyes through him controling my mouse on my computer. Everything he has said has been backed up as far as I can tell with logic and facts. Now, what im wondering is if this service that he is providing me is worth paying for. Keep in mind that I can have them compleatly clean up my computer just like they will do the first time by removing and cleaning and optimizing everything every two months and they will do extra things such as help me set up printers or with devices or any other problems I experiance with my computer at any time. The thing that is selling me on the service is the fact that everything is taken place infront of my on my own computer, and they ask for permission to open anything and you can talk to them on the phone or live chat while it is happening.
