Get the Gateway. It is overall a better computer because it has HDMI and more available graphics memory as well as wireless 802.11n.

Check the reviews on both laptops and see what the previous users would say about the performance plus "Pro" and "Con". Then you make the decision based on those reviews.

I Looked at the computer with the links & dell computers are really popular. My mom had a gateway computer and she Absolutely loves it (me too) I have an acer laptop (miniature laptop) I would get the gateway one and get a skin For the back :D Hope i Helped! Good Luck! -Megg

Overall these two computers are about the same. Main difference is that the dell's ram is expandable up to 8GB while the gateway is maxed at 4GB. The Gateway's processor is slightly faster, but that would not make much of a difference. It will basically depend on what you plan on doing with the computer. For the most part either one of these will handle just about anything you would want to do.

on the website best buy you can compare up to 3 laptops you can do that and see which one is better or which you like more..or you can go to the store and play with them to see which you actually do like
