Question by : a good computer gaming desktop? hay i'm 18 year's old/male and i don''t know much about gaming computer's and i would like someone to help me decide which computer would be a good for gaming and for normal use like, watch online videos,watch movies,use program's like adobe after effects cs4 things like that. i like to keep the price below $ 500/$ 450/400 around that with monitor and key bored if possible. please help me find a store to buy it from like frys,best buy, or dell.com please tell me if i should just buy a dell desktop computer from dell.com and just buy a graphics card and add that to it??? i'am looking for a desktop computer???? tell me what brand i should buy??? i hear dell is the best, but i need someone with a gaming experience. please help me out. i like to play game's like call of duty modern warfare stuff like that??? please give me full details not just like go do this or buy that please full details please????? thanks. Honestly, you're not going to get a gaming computer for that little, unless you build it yourself. I can't help you in price, but you want a good graphics card, at least 1GB. NVidia is the top of the line. You want at least 3 GB of RAM, go up to as much as 8. Depends on what you want to spend. RAM is what your computer uses to process actions. It regulates how fast your computer is. Processor, you want at least an Intel Core 2 Duo, nothing less, more is always better. You want this for any sort of multitasking. Gaming computers don't need a very large hard drive. Dell is your best bet, but if you have the money, Alienware is the best.

Your budget is quite low. I dont recommend Dell PCs as they tend to have more trouble. But generally I dont prefer branded desktops. You cannot get a better machine than this for such low budget. You will get a shit computer from Dell under 500 bucks.

Hi i'm 14 and I think you should build one yourself you can save about £200 if you choose the right parts I have built a really good gaming computer for £370. Building a computer is really easy it's kind of like lego. If I was you I would start researching in to building a computer right now.

To be honest you wont be able to find a decent gaming computer for that. I built my computer (which is cheapest) spent $ 800. I highly suggest building one or getting someone to build it. My computer from dell would probably run me 2 grand. But I guess from your pre-built options dell is alright. I saw alienware mentioned here, they are very good but expensive. And now they have been taken over by dell so I'm pretty sure their going to loose their reputation as being a gaming leader. My biggest recommendation is wait until you have more money.
