Question by Jordan: Which computer whould you get? Im in the market for a low cost computer that does everyday things and plays World of Warcraft well. I know WoW isint one of the most graphical demanding games but I would like it to run at a smooth 60 frames if possible with high settings. The Acer Aspire notebook you listed would not be a good choice. First of all, you would want one with a Dual Core processor for WOW. Plus it has a slow FSB speed which would also not be good for WOW. Definitely the desktop, although eMachines isn't the greatest brand-name out there. While being able to accept a CPU upgrade is certainly a nice feature, you've got to factor in that cost. Morever, the graphics are NOT upgradeable and that's more important to gaming performance than your CPU anyway. True, a Mobility Radeon 3200 is slightly better than an Intel GMA 4500, but compared to even a $ 50 desktop video card (like a Radeon 4650) they both suck. both of those are not a good choice especially the Acer. AMD Phenom X3 8450 2.1GHz ( triple Core) 2. ATI HD 3200 which is better than X4500 3. 8 GB of RAM!!!! this might not maxed out WoW but it can play on med-high no problem.
