Hi, The best thing to do is buy a "Bare Bones" system and just install the CD drive etc and Software yourself it's easy, and the best thing is it's really CHEEP.

try tigerdirect.com or newegg.com or shop4tech.com becareful because if the description doesn't say that it comes with Windows XP or Windows Vista, it probably doesn't come with any operationg system at all and those are going to cost you atleast another $ 150 to buy it seperate. also you can some times find good deals at Staples around back to school time ($ 300 after rebates for a complete system)
