xps system is the better one. the xps ram and hd may be smaller but you can upgrade them easily anyway in the future but its vid card is a little better. although if you are a gamer isn't a 128 mb vid card a little too small?

For a gamer definitely the XPS M1530. But try to get it with a 8600M GT, that is much better than a 8400M GS. Inspiron has a better processor, but the integrated gfx card sucks for games. For some reason I can’t find the 8600M GT option for M1530 anymore (maybe a temporary shortage).M1530 is thinner, lighter and looks better than 1520 but more expensive for the same configuration. What about 1520 with a 8400M GS ? or better yet, the 1420 (14.1â€) with a 8400M GS ?
