Go to the store and get a feel for it yourself. You'll like one more if you can physically feel/smell/look at the actual thing, considering you'll be spending a lot of time with it in the near future. If you're just asking for opinion I'd get a Mac over Sony anyday. Sony overprices just as badly as Mac, and they give you much less reliable parts from my experience. It's just that a Mac is not for everyone, so go to the store and take a look!

Sony comes with Windows & Mac with Mac OS so there's not much of a comparison. Windows 7 rip off of Mac OS, but nice 3rd party apps including a lot of freewares while Mac OS is a slick OS but you'll have to buy apps as very few free apps. Plus upgrades are easier in Sony than a Mac. If it's for home use only & you're not into freewares, wouldn't do upgrades yourself, go for Macs. If it's for office and home use, would probably upgrade it after a year go for Sony.

I would not rank a Sony or a Toshiba, but they are not a computer I would buy. I buy Dell, HPs and Acers. A Windows PC computer is an all-in-one because everything is written for Windows. MACs are more stable, but they are not an all-in-one computer and by definition they are a PC (Personal Computer). It is a tough decision that needs to be based on what you want to do with the computer. PC and MAC is a constant debate that will never end. This probably doesn't answer your question directly. If I was doing Video, Audio, Graphics and, Music Production, I would definitely use a MAC over a PC any day.

simple terms OS X is nothing special you cant do much, almost no programs for it. and mac is way over priced for shit hardware. trust me windows 7 is the best OS i have ever used and never had a problem with it, its like a 10 second boot time so there's not much of a comparison. Windows 7 rip off of Mac OS X yer your an idiot there nothing alike windows 7 is OS X i don't see windows 7 running on only shit hardware, no it runs on anything End of story, Sony is the best Thing to buy over a mac *vomits*

I know this wasn't an option, but I say you go PC and steer clear of Sony as well. Sonys are unreliable and overpriced but there are many other viable options for PCs such as gateway, hp, acer etc. Of course this all depends on what it is you wish to do. If you are looking for a more media based experience Mac is normally the better option (although tough on the budget), however, if you are looking to game and have a more "personal" and customizable experience, PC is always the way to go.
