A lot of those do not specify the power supply, which is critical for adding a video card, even a smaller 4650 - it still needs about 50W on its own. A 250W supply may not run it... a 350W probably ok... For example, that $ 299 HP (second last one) has only a 250W supply... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02158336&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=4216558

That graphics card is really bad for gaming. You should buy a ps3 or xbox

Hi, you can try GeForce GTX 580 as the VGA card inside your new machine. This is the brand new video card designated only for gamers. You can consider this one after first buying your PC then upgrade the card. About your price only $ 500 for gaming, it's almost impossible I think. Processor for gaming around $ 100, then memory 4GB around $ 50, HDD 500GB around $ 100, Motherboard around $ 100, VGA around $ 250. At least $ 600-$ 700 for ideal machine for gaming purpose.
