Depends on what you want in a computer. They run different. There's gaming computers, media center computers, theatrical computers. Your best bet is finding a local PC shop and custom building it to what you want. My current PC is custom built by PC Club, and was $ 900. The equivalent Dell computer was over $ 1500. Custom all the way.

It depends on what you need, but assuming you want something pretty basic that runs nice and has the best value, I would take a look at the Lotus Breeze. My friend bought one recently and he loves it. Only $ 600 for the whole thing and it runs great, plus it came with a 3 year warranty, which is unheard of for pretty much any company, but especially a lower-end PC. check it out at http://www.lotuspc.net/home/breeze/index.html
