Unfortunately, I have very little knowledge of what computer will give me the best bang for my buck. I am moving to Australia in a few weeks, so I will mostly just be using it for Internet & Web Cam... any suggestions?? Is there a better way to shop for a laptop or a notebook computer apart from physically going to a computer store?

Of course, there is still the old fashioned and classical way of referring to a thick catalog, which may span several volumes. But in this age of technology and instant fulfillment of needs and wants, there is nothing better than shopping online.

Running through the offers for the best computers we have in mind will easily take us several hours of pure browsing through a tonne of offers from many of the online stores. Owing to the sheer volume of manufacturers and the unending production of new models year after year, we are hard pressed to catch up with all the latest models and the designs and features .

Whenever we shop online, it would ease our search and makes our shopping easier if we bear in mind several important points as we shop:

1. Prepare a shortlist of the models we are interested in. This shortlist should be based upon another list of our requirements or specifications in terms of power, speed, and most importantly cost of the laptop or notebook computer.
