Question by mike 83: Deciding which speakers get after reading a lot of review on both Klipsch and Bose? Right, decision time!!! I have writen a coupleof time on this website about speakers for my computer, decided either Klipsch 2.1 or Bose 3 series 2. I will write what I have found out from both and do a kind of summary onmy personal opinion... Lets start with the Klipsch. Klipsch seem to be very good speakers! I find the bass on then very extreme, personally. The speakrs are very very load, but i do feel the bass is very heavy and sometimes over powers the speakers. The price of them are extremely good and very competertive! The bad things about these are for me personally is they look pants, and they are pretty big and bulky ( as i only have a limited amount of space) they look quite cheap looking as well. I have also found reading reviews the build quality concerning the plug adaper is shockingly bad and is faulting, nearly 70% of reviews i have read have mentioned this. and the speakers do look a bit like lego put together. Bose I think first of all Bose are very over priced for what they seem to be. It is annoying personally that they dont mention the output on these, they are always so secretive! I thing athstetically they are probably the most good looking speakers I have seen! The build quality seems pretty good as well when casting my eye over them. I have read though you need a decent graphics card though for them to erform to their best,(I dont know if this is for all makes/models) this I think I have, as my laptop is fairly new (6months old). The bas when testing in the shop (Not a bose shop) was pretty good, maybe not as heavy on the bass as the Klipsch, but more than made up for it in the clarity. I think personally, I will take my laptop in and plug it into the Bose in and see how it sounds when plugged into my computer. ITS going to come down to personal preference, and to be honest, I have had alot of Bose equipment inc headphone, stereo's etc, and they have never let me down. i think its going to be Bose, although a lot more expensive, they are smaller ( as i have a very limited amount of space), maybe not as powerful as the Klipsch but Living in a studio apaartment you dont need them at 1000db really..? and the sound that I heard from them seems to be extremely good. If you have any comment you would like to share, or persuade me not to by Bose and go for the Klipsch please feel free, I will take all veiws into consideration Thanks Best answer for Deciding which speakers get after reading a lot of review on both Klipsch and Bose?:

1) I think that you are dead-on accurate about Bose being over-priced. I think that they have built their business on clever advertising, which is what you are paying for - more advertising. I would never buy Bose, because I just cannot stand getting ripped off by bullcrap. BUT, if you like them, go for them. It is what YOU like that counts! 2) Klipsch is an old name in speakers going back to Paul Klipsch's invention of the incredible Klipschorn, which was soo cool in its day. Today they are just another brand, but I have two Cornwalls and a center speaker in my home stereo system, and I like them. 3) When it comes to speakers, you are foolish to pay very much for them without listening to them. Speakers are so different in sound and people are so different in taste that I would not even consider buying a speaker without auditioning it. At least, I would not pay a lot of money for a speaker without auditioning it. FYI, I use a pair of expensive Sennheiser earphones (HD 600) at my computer. (Got them on sale at Amazon a few years ago. Retail $ 400, but I got them for $ 200) They are excellent earphones, don't bother my wife, and I can wear them for hours without them bothering my ears. They lack the oomph of a speaker set with a subwoofer, but computer speaker sets are really just toys anyway. Yes, I bought them without auditioning them, but the reviews were so consistently great that I felt safe. :)
