If you are in the market for a refurbished notebook, a driving force behind that decision was likely price. You may be able to save anywhere between $ 200 and $ 500 by purchasing a reconditioned model instead of a brand new one. That kind of savings will grab anyone's attention, but you will need to work to find those great deals. Here are some tips on how to find the best price on your reconditioned laptop.

The very first step in this process is figuring out what kind of laptop you want. Start by deciding what you want to use the computer for and what sorts of components you want it to have. If you start randomly searching the web for low-priced laptops, you are going to be overwhelmed by the amount of retailers offering them, not to mention the sheer volume of different types of models to choose from.

Once you have narrowed the scope of what you are looking for, you can begin comparison shopping. Visit stores in your area to see if they have your desire d model in stock, then hit the web and compare the prices you find online to what you saw in person.

As you shop online, try browsing a mix of different sources. For example, if the manufacturer of the pc you are interested in has a web site in which they sell direct to customers, then check that out, but also make sure to price shop third part sellers as well, and even shopping search engines. There are entire search engines dedicated to scouring online stores, and there are also shopping components on many of the top search engines. By reviewing all of these sources --manufacturer, 3rd party seller, and search engine - you have a much better chance of finding the lowest price.

Another option online is to ask friends and family if they have bought form an electronics e-tailer before, and if they have how their experience doing so was. This can help you avoid or seek out places that won't offer a favorable deal. You can also rely on reviews posted to social media sites, web forums, and other sources of user reviews and opinions. These can be excellent ways to get money-saving tips for your buying process.

Another valuable tip is to time your purchase correctly. During periods in which more people are buying laptops (such as the winter holiday season and back-to-school time in the fall, more people than ever are buying laptops, which means retailers and manufacturers need to offer special deals to win customers away from the competition. If you buy your refurbished laptop during this period, you may be able to take advantage of a sale that knocks even more off your bottom line.

Finally, when you look at prices, take the big picture into consideration. Is there anything that needs to be purchase along with the computer? Is shipping free or extra? Is there a warranty? Any cost-of-ownership factors should definitely be considered as part of the overall price, because you want a long-term value.

These tips will help you conduct a focused search that could lead to you too saving up to $ 500 on a great refurbished notebook. Find out what you want, comparison shop relentlessly, and then be sure to take a holistic view of pricing that includes shipping fees and any cost of ownership issues. These are the keys to saving big on your next laptop.

Cheap with performance would be the Acers I think. I was skeptical about purchasing a not so popular brand, but decided to gamble with an acer laptop cause their specs elsewhere was a few hundred dollars more expensive. I have no regrets whatsoever, it performs better than some more higher expensive brands.
