If price is your main consideration...you need to check out Dell first! Make sure you get a warranty to cover the time period you want to keep it.

Wal-mart has a reasonably priced Compaqq system, and they are a part of HP. I have 2 and have had absolutely no problems with either. I work on more Dell systems than any others. Hope this helps

I hate my DELL! 5 weeks after I bought it the Hard Drive Crashed. The one they replaced it with crashed less than 2 years later. But I was told that it was the brand of Hard drive, Maxtor that is bad. I loved my HP computer... I passed it onto a friend cause I needed a new one for editing video and burning DVDS

HP is better. Dell has great customer service - but thats it. Their product isn't reliable or good at all .
