While India is known for support and even has computer manufacturers with assembly and manufacturing facilities you will find that a lot of the hardware is made in China, Taiwan, Korea, Thialand, or other nations where labor is less expensive. That having been said there are some manufacturing operations that assemble computers in India and this has driven down some of the prices of OEM components. You might be able to order a 5-pak of video cards in OEM packaging cheaper than in retail packaging. ...but that is pretty much the same all over. If a memory plant has a fire you will see the prices for memory DIMMs raise all over the world. If a video card manufacturer has a recall for their card due to issue x then you will see a ripple effect globally. That having been said...If a ship loses a shipment (container falls off the ship while enroute to India and yes, there is insurance for that) you might see local prices experience a temporary spike until the demand is satiated by the new shipment.
