You haven't provided enough information. How much RAM are they adding, and what speed is it? Installing RAM (memory) on a laptop is ridiculously easy, locate the ram panel on the bottom of the laptop, remove 4 screws, snap in the new ram and you're done. You just have to be sure to get the right type of RAM for your particular model... which would be helpful if you mentioned. Search YouTube for "Installing memory on a laptop" As for the sound, the chip is integrated onto the motherboard and impossible to replace without replacing the motherboard. So if they're charging $ 90 for RAM and "fixing the sound", it seems like the sound problem is a software issue that could be fixed through BIOS or in Windows Audio & Sound device settings. You can also get a USB sound stick for cheap at most PC shops.
