If you have purchased your laptop in the last five years, you can safely go ahead and read this piece about wireless computer speakers. That is because to work them your laptop needs to be empowered with Bluetooth. Of course, you could also attach them with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) dongle but the reality is that the good speakers operate with Bluetooth. That is just one of the features of this new age audio interface. Read on to know more features and why you should probably own a pair.
You can ask yourself why you would need external speakers when you already have in-built ones, the sound from which can be accessed through headphones for better listening. The fact is, most laptops are fitted with speakers that are not powerful enough or are not high on clarity. It makes for a good investment to buy external speakers since they can be used for a number of situations and tasks.
What must one look out for when purchasing these Hi-Fi, futuristic speakers? Firstly, the price. The higher the price, obviously the better the brand and features you will get with it. If you are on a budget, you will just manage to get speakers that will give you the basics: good sound, volume adjustment and a manageable range of frequency.
If price is not an issue, and it really should not be since opting for external speakers will be beneficial, it is time to look at the features. Being WIRELESS, it would not make sense to buy speakers that would need to be plugged into an electrical outlet for operation; so, go in for the battery operated ones. In the truest sense, you will be able to place them just about anywhere you want since they are actually wire free!
Good cordless speakers will make use the Bluetooth connection on your laptop since that is the best way of transmitting information back and forth. A USB port might not be too reliable. Talking of information exchange, you will also have to ensure that the range frequency is good and that it can be operated not only from a good distance but also through walls or anything coming between the laptop and the speakers.
This means that you will want a speaker with a strong transmitter. The transmitter should also be able to give you the option of operating on a frequency that does not interfere with other wireless networks or gizmos around the same space. Quality speakers usually do offer multiple frequency tuning options so you need not worry, now that you have decided to go in for a quality product.
Now, here is the catch. You may not be able to purchase speakers in pairs since most companies sell them in single pieces. Which means you will have to purchase two pieces and PAIR them up!
If you are not willing to spend a little when purchasing wireless computer speakers then do not even consider buying them. This is because these gadgets or add-ons only enhance the quality of your digital experience and all good things come at a price.
Recommend Wireless Computer Speakers - Why You Need Them ArticlesQuestion by woaikonglong: Which is the best "new" computer? I am looking to get a new computer, but not necessarily the newest model, just whatever is in stores and I want some advice. Here is what I am looking for. I don't care what brand, but not a desktop. Must require DDR2 ram. Pre-installed should be at least a 1 gig. Must have at least a CD-rom/burner. Battery type should be cheap to replace. I prefer something with at last 2 hours of life. Should not overheat too much or too quickly. Decent sound and graphics card. Internal wireless adapter. Good speakers. Decent price so that I wont feel bad about purchasing the newest office suite (if you include an approximate of this information, I would be appreciative). What (brand, especially) would you recommend and why? The reason I ask is that it is 9:42 I have a final due tomorrow that I have not yet typed out (not that it will take more than 30 minutes) but my stupid Toshiba Satellite's not receiving power which could be a problem with a slipped mother board, the power jack, the jack on the motherboard, or hopefully something that is cheaper than buying a new laptop. Only the crooks at GeekSquad will tell. As a follow-up (another asker's question inspired me). I also have no opinion between mac and pc? So I am not attached to either since I own both in desktop forms. Best answer for Which is the best "new" computer?:

For the sake of your final, I'd reccomend borrowing somebody else's computer. Computer shopping for the right computer can take awhile. Then again, I just build my own =P If they don't have microsoft office, download openoffice for them @ www.openoffice.org

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10760321 Good brand, pretty nice price, decent processor, lots of RAM, plenty of hard drive space, overall a good computer. Not sure why you want to waste money on an office suite, just download open office. It's free and compatible with microsoft office documents: http://www.openoffice.org/

I'm guessing your talking about a laptop hearing your preferences. So here we go: Personally i own a Macbook pro and love it. The new ones and old ones are great. They run fast, and come with 2gb of ram, and the webcam is always a plus. The hard drive size is great (160gb) and it runs like a charm. Mac OSX is great, no viruses or spyware so far. Wireless is great, graphics are STUNNING in HD. Comes with CD burner and can watch dvd's. Of course these are a little pricy so you can always downgrade to a regular macbook which are still great. But if you feel like you want a PC, i would go with the HP HDX 16t Premium series. Its glossy screen and sleek design are great. The screen is larger than normal at 16" and HP even has larger ones. For $ 999 the laptop is a bargain. It comes with a GeForce 9600GMT graphics card and whats great is the blu-ray capability on the 1080p widescreen! The computer also has a built in TV tuner, webcam, and the speakers are pretty good. But the coolest part has to be the built in fingerprint scanner for protection. All this, plus right now they are having a deal for free 3gb ram upgrade, free shipping, 99$ upgrade to vista ultimate, and $ 20 dollars off office. It's a snag. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=Entertainment+powerhouse&series_name=HDX16t_series But if thats even a little too pricy, there are tons of other lines of HP laptops (which i prefer due to their great customer service and just great value) and other brands also. http://www.shopping.hp.com/notebooks Hopefully i could be a great help to you and let me know if you need anything else!
